Parmiters School needed a new washroom to tackle capacity issues.
Parmiter’s School faced the challenge of refurbishing five outdated washroom blocks to accommodate its growing student population better. The primary goal was to increase the number of cubicles in each washroom to address capacity issues effectively.
With work planned during term time for two washrooms and over the summer for the remaining three, the school needed a solution that minimised disruption to daily activities while delivering high-quality results.

How Brookhouse increased washroom capacity by over 30%
Brookhouse approached this challenge with a proven methodology for conducting term-time refurbishments efficiently and with minimal disruption. We focused on the Sixth Form washroom and gym toilets first, executing the renovations during the school term without interrupting the academic schedule.
Our design utilised the available space to maximise the number of full-height enclosed cubicles, increasing capacity by over 30% in each washroom.
This was achieved by employing stylish and highly durable solid-grade laminate (SGL) for the cubicles, providing practicality and a modern aesthetic that met the school's expectations.
